Three women meet in a dusky penthouse apartment for a meticulously prepared meal. As their psychoses and fantasies are revealed, these perfect strangers become entwined in a way none of them could expect.
José Rivera’s Brainpeople is a quasi-realist chamber drama that explores whether broken lives can find footing in a broken world. Directed by Ryan Rebel, produced by the Shoe Box Theatre Collective.
Shoe Box is the resident theatre collective of the Venice Island Performing Arts Center in Manayunk. Shoe Box seeks to push the constraints of the proscenium theater space in our own work, and we provide a high tech venue for local artists to develop projects that could otherwise go uncelebrated.
